About the Role

We have an exciting brand-new position as Facilities Manager to join our team.

The Facilities Manager will fulfil a crucially important role within our organisation and will be responsible for the effective management of all designated engineering, maintenance, cleaning and reception operations within the client premises, including energy conservation, M&E resilience and H&S Compliance. You are also responsible for the development of the engineering and maintenance Team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of engineering and maintenance, as required for Corporate standards.

- Knowledge of working within Listed Building environments

- Previous experience of being a facilities manager
- Proficient with computers and relevant computer programs
- Knowledge of working with original and invaluable material

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

- First Aid
- Qualification in engineering field
- IOSH certificate

Requirements

Some key duties for this great role:


  • Lead the engineering, maintenance and cleaning Team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations of the business, including service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules and be a hands on individual.

  • Communicate with stakeholders to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for all areas.

  • Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all employees and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property.

  • Communicate with Government agencies to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations.

  • Prepare Capital and Repairs budgets for Engineering and maintenance schedules.

  • Perform daily checks and security walks around the property.

  • Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required.

  • Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external staff.

  • Maintenance of all fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise.

  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.

  • Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses.

  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.Identify and introduce environmentally-friendly systems and equipment.

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering and maintenance departments and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity, and other objectives

  • To oversee all Team members and ensure all time sheet activities are captured accordingly for accurate payroll payments. These activities will include but not limited to holiday requests, sick time and absences.

  • To interview new or replacement staff as required
